The Gettysburg Alternative Sports Park (GASP), is an outdoor public facility for the practice of the alternative sports of BMX stunt riding, inline skating, and skateboarding. Gettysburg Alternative Sports Park (GASP) features all metal ramps and obstacles (including street) for every level of experience.

Location

GASP is located within the Gettysburg Regional Recreation Park at 545 Long Lane, Gettysburg, PA.

Memberships and Fees

Membership is available to residents of Adams County at $5.00/month, payable in $1 increments upon each admission into the park or $30 for the season.  Proof of residency is required.

Non-residents may use the park by paying a rate of $3.00 per session.  

Hours 

GASP hours of operation are contingent upon staffing availability and weather conditions. The park will be closed during inclement weather when water or snow is laying on the park equipment or surface and when it is raining or lightening.

Current Hours

Monday – Friday: 3:30 pm to Dusk

Saturdays: 2:00 pm to Dusk

Sundays: 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Gettysburg Alternative Sports Park Code of Conduct

• GASP is a safe and drug free facility. Therefore, no alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs are permitted.
• GASP is a safe haven where all users are treated respectfully.  There will be no profane language, fighting, pushing, physical or verbal abuse, or bullying tolerated.
• GASP believes in the safe practice of all sports.  Helmets and elbow and knee pads are required for all users. Wrists guards are required for skaters and boarders under 10 years old and are recommended for all others.
• For their safety, users under 10 years old must be supervised by a parent or parent designee who is at least 16 years old. The parent or designee must be actively supervising at all times.
• Spectators are encouraged to enjoy watching the practice of alternative sports but for everyone’s safety, they are to remain outside the fence. 
• CFY will do it’s best to provide a safe and clean facility. However, each user is responsible for his or her personal actions and safety. All users skate, blade, or bike at their own risk.

What You Need to Know

1. We strive to keep fees very low but they are critical in keeping the park open. User fees help to cover costs associated with providing GASP staff to supervise youth using the park (a requirement of our insurance company).  
2. Liability and a Code of Conduct form must be signed by all users (and a parent if user is under age 18), prior to skating.
3. Protective Equipment is available for use at the park.
